In a game that extended into overtime, the Alabama Crimson Tide showcased their resilience and strategic play at Coleman Coliseum. Alabama's rebounding was another key factor in their success. They dominated with forty-four total rebounds against Arkansas's thirty-nine. Of these, twenty-eight were defensive and nine offensive rebounds for Alabama which provided them additional scoring opportunities that translated into sixteen second-chance points.


Free throws often make a difference in tight games and this occasion was no different; although shooting only sixty-eight percent from the line could have been better for Alabama, they made seventeen free throws which proved crucial down the stretch.

Arkansas put up a formidable fight as well with an impressive eighty-nine percent free throw accuracy and fifty-five percent two-point field goal percentage. They managed forty-two points in paint underscoring their ability to penetrate Alabama's defense effectively but ultimately fell short as time expired.
