Can Alabama Crimson Tide Maintain Edge Over Grand Canyon Antelopes?

The Alabama Crimson Tide, ranked 19th, secured another victory with a final score of 72-61 against the Grand Canyon Antelopes. The Crimson Tide's record now stands at an impressive 19-6, while the Antelopes' record falls to a challenging 6-19.

The game was marked by intense competition and notable performances from both teams. The Crimson Tide excelled in various aspects of the game, particularly in rebounding where they dominated with a total of 50 rebounds compared to the Antelopes' 41. This included a substantial number of offensive rebounds for the Crimson Tide at 15, giving them critical second-chance opportunities which they converted into 14 points.


Defensively, both teams were almost neck-and-neck with blocks and steals; however, the Crimson Tide edged out with one more block than their opponents for a total of nine blocks. Steals were tied at ten each, showcasing aggressive defensive efforts on both sides.

On offense, free throws were crucial for Alabama as they capitalized on these opportunities by making an impressive 73 percent from the line. Their field goal percentage stood at a solid but not spectacular 37 percent overall. From beyond the arc, they managed to hit eight three-pointers out of thirty-one attempts which translated into an accuracy rate of approximately twenty-six percent.


The Grand Canyon Antelopes struggled offensively throughout much of the game. They shot just thirty-two percent from field goals and had even less success from three-point range where their accuracy was only ten percent. Despite these challenges, they made up some ground with free throws by making twenty-three out of thirty-seven attempts.
