The team's fast break execution was particularly effective, contributing to twenty-one fast break points. On offense, they maintained efficiency from beyond the arc with an eight out of twenty-two three-point shooting performance translating to thirty-six percent accuracy.


Arizona State's ability to capitalize on turnovers was pivotal; they scored twenty-seven points off turnovers compared to twelve by Colorado. This aggressive defense paired with smart ball-handling led to an assists turnover ratio of 1.86 for Arizona State, significantly better than Colorado's 0.85.

They also managed to sink seven out of twenty three-pointers taken during the game which accounted for thirty-five percent success rate from long range.


As both teams exhausted all their timeouts by halftime and fought through numerous lead changes and ties throughout the contest – nine times tied and five lead changes – it was ultimately Arizona State that held firm when it mattered most.
