At Gill Coliseum, home of the Oregon State Beavers, a crowd of 3,842 spectators witnessed a game where both teams displayed significant effort on the court. The Sun Devils started off trailing with 29 points in the first half and managed to add 42 points in the second half. Despite their efforts to close the gap, they were unable to surpass Oregon State's consistent performance throughout both halves.

The Arizona State team showed determination and resilience as they fought hard on offense. They made 50 percent of their two-point attempts and scored an impressive 40 points in paint. Their free throw accuracy was notable at an excellent rate of 88 percent, sinking 22 out of 25 attempts from the line.

Defensively, however, there were challenges for Arizona State as they accumulated a total of 29 personal fouls which led to two players being foulouts. On top of that, they managed only two blocks compared to one by Oregon State but excelled with steals at eleven over four by their opponents.

A key aspect for Arizona State was their ability to capitalize on turnovers; they scored nine points off turnovers while keeping their own total turnovers down to seven for this game. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at around one point three which reflects a decent handling of ball possession under pressure.

On contrast, Oregon State's statistics painted a picture of strong inside play and shooting efficiency; they achieved an outstanding seventy-two percent success rate on two-point field goals and maintained overall field goal percentage above fifty-six percent during playtime.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support them in future games: The next challenge for Arizona State will be against Stanford Cardinal at Desert Financial Arena located in Tempe. This upcoming match is scheduled for February first at six o'clock PM Mountain Standard Time (MST). Fans can catch live action broadcasted nationally on ESPN2 channel two hundred nine.
