Sun Devils Set to Battle Buffaloes at CU Events Center

As the Arizona State Sun Devils prepare to face off against the Colorado Buffaloes at the CU Events Center, fans are anticipating a game that could go either way. The Sun Devils have shown a mixed bag of performances in their recent outings, with trends suggesting both strengths and areas for improvement.

Colorado Buffaloes VS Arizona State Sun Devils

In their last game against Northwestern Wildcats, despite a strong second half where they scored 33 points compared to just 13 in the first, the Sun Devils fell short with a final score of 46-65. Their field goal percentage was low at 31 percent and three-point shooting was even less impressive at 17 percent. However, they did manage to make 61 percent of their free throws and grabbed a total of 31 rebounds.

The previous game saw them losing again, this time to TCU Horned Frogs with a score of 59-79. Turnovers were an issue as they gave up possession on nineteen occasions which led to TCU scoring heavily from fast breaks and off turnovers. The Sun Devils' field goal percentage improved slightly to 38 percent but still remained below par.

However, there is hope from an earlier match against San Diego Toreros where they scored an impressive 84 points but narrowly lost by five points. They showed better control with twelve turnovers and had an encouraging field goal percentage of nearly half their attempts (48 percent). Their three-point shooting also stood out at a solid rate of forty-one percent.

The upcoming game presents an opportunity for Arizona State to capitalize on its fast-break capabilities and improve ball security. Rebounding will be crucial as well; maintaining or increasing their average could give them more second-chance points and limit the Buffaloes' opportunities.

Fans can catch this exciting matchup scheduled for February ninth at one o'clock in the morning UTC time zone (February eighth local time), broadcasted nationally on Fox Sports channel two hundred nineteen. The high-altitude environment in Boulder might pose additional challenges for the visiting team; however, it's nothing that proper preparation can't overcome as Arizona State looks forward to getting back on track with what promises to be an engaging contest.
