The University of Arizona's team has shown a remarkable ability to control games through both offensive prowess and defensive resilience. In their last game against the Huskies on January 6th, they secured a narrow victory with a score of 70-67. Despite shooting only 36 percent from the field, they made up for it with an impressive free throw percentage of 77 and out-assisted their opponents with 21 assists compared to just 13 by the Huskies.

One aspect that stands out for ARIZ is their ability to capitalize on turnovers; they scored 20 points off turnovers in that game alone. Their assist-to-turnover ratio was also commendable at nearly two assists for every turnover committed. This level of efficiency will be crucial when facing WSU.

On December 31st, ARIZ faced off against Sun Devils and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 69-60. Their free throw accuracy was exceptional at almost 86 percent, which could again play a significant role in tight situations against WSU.

Looking back further into December, ARIZ showcased an offensive clinic against Morgan State Bears where they put up an astounding 93 points. They shot over half from both field goals and two-point range while also dominating in points in paint (48) and fast-break points (21). This demonstrates that when ARIZ gets going offensively, they can be unstoppable.

The upcoming match-up presents its own challenges as WSU brings its competitive spirit into McKale Center. However, if past performances are any indicators, ARIZ has shown time and again that they can rise above adversity through teamwork and sheer determination.

Fans should expect another display of tactical basketball where every possession counts and where ARIZ's depth could very well be the deciding factor once more. With strong defense complementing their scoring abilities, there is every reason for Wildcat supporters to believe in another win adding momentum as conference play intensifies.

Mark your calendars for January 7th at McKale Center in Tuscon; tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM local time (MST). For those unable to attend in person, you can catch all the action live on Pac-12 Network – don't miss what promises to be another exciting chapter in this season's story!
