Wildcats Stumble at McKale Center Against Visiting Cougars
In a closely contested conference game, the Arizona Wildcats faced off against the Washington State Cougars at the McKale Center. Arizona did manage to dominate in offensive rebounds with 16 compared to Washington State's 14 and total rebounds with an impressive tally of 45 against their opponent's 41. However, this advantage did not translate into sufficient points on the board. The team also made more free throw attempts than Washington State but only converted them at a rate of about 61 percent.
On defense, Arizona blocked three shots and made two steals during the game but committed one less personal foul than Washington State who had nineteen fouls in total.
Washington State showcased efficient shooting from long range hitting twelve out of twenty-eight three-point attempts which translates into approximately a strong performance of around forty-three percent accuracy from deep. They also excelled at free throws making twelve out of fourteen or roughly eighty-six percent.
