The Arkansas Razorbacks faced a challenging contest against the South Carolina Gamecocks, culminating in a 77-64 outcome that favored the visitors. The Razorbacks started off trailing with 27 points in the first half and managed to ramp up their performance by adding another 37 points in the second. Despite their efforts and a higher free throw percentage of 81 percent compared to South Carolina's 71 percent, it was not enough to secure victory. Arkansas showcased resilience on defense with three blocks and four steals throughout the game.

Arkansas' offensive efforts were led by aggressive plays that resulted in 32 points scored within the paint. They also capitalized on turnovers, scoring eight points off them. However, they struggled from beyond the arc with only five three-pointers made out of eighteen attempts for a modest three-point shooting percentage of 28 percent.

On rebounding fronts, Arkansas gathered a total of twenty-eight rebounds but fell short against South Carolina's thirty-nine. This included nineteen defensive rebounds for Arkansas but only five offensive ones which limited their second-chance opportunities despite converting sixteen second-chance points.

South Carolina's offense was more efficient overall; they shot fifty-two percent from field goals and fifty-three percent from two-point range which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead throughout both halves of play (39-38). Their ability to assist each other stood out as they recorded twenty assists leading to an impressive assist-turnover ratio of 2.22.

Looking ahead after this tough encounter at home, fans can anticipate seeing how Arkansas will regroup as they prepare for their next challenge on January twenty-fourth against Ole Miss Rebels at The Pavilion at Ole Miss located in Oxford Mississippi. This upcoming game is scheduled for an eight o'clock evening start time and will be broadcasted nationally on ESPNU channel two hundred eight for fans wishing to follow along live.
