From the outset, it was clear that both teams were determined to leave everything on the court. The first half saw the Commodores take a lead with 41 points against the Razorbacks' 27. However, as play progressed into the second half, momentum shifted dramatically. The Razorbacks surged ahead to score an astonishing 51 points compared to their opponent's 37, pushing both teams into overtime.

In overtime, it was Arkansas who maintained composure and outscored Vanderbilt by five points, sealing their victory with a final burst of energy and skill. This win can be attributed in part to their superior free throw accuracy which stood at an impressive 88 percent compared to Vanderbilt's 62 percent.

The statistics tell a story of two evenly matched teams: each grabbed 35 rebounds and demonstrated defensive prowess – seven blocks for Arkansas and two for Vanderbilt. Yet it was perhaps Arkansas's ability to capitalize on turnovers that made a critical difference; they scored 15 points off turnovers while holding Vanderbilt to just twelve.

Arkansas also showed greater discipline in possession; they had fewer personal fouls (17) than Vanderbilt (19) and managed ten turnovers against thirteen from their opponents. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at a commendable rate of 1.4 reflecting better ball management under pressure.

Offensively, both teams were formidable inside: Arkansas scored 38 points in paint while Vanderbilt edged them slightly with 46 points in that area. From beyond the arc, however, Arkansas outperformed by landing nine three-pointers at a rate of thirty-six percent against six from Vanderbilt at forty percent efficiency.

As fans look forward to future games, they can take pride in how well-rounded this team performance was – from defense through transition play up until those crucial free throws that clinched victory during overtime tension.

Looking ahead for the Razorbacks is another challenge as they prepare to face off against South Carolina Gamecocks at Bridgestone Arena on March 14th at approximately noon local time (3:30 PM ET).
