The game, held at Neville Arena in front of a full-capacity crowd of 9,121 fans, saw the home team dominate from start to finish. The Tigers showcased their scoring abilities by putting up an astonishing 51 points in the first half and maintaining their lead with an additional 37 points in the second half. Their shooting was particularly effective; they achieved a field goal percentage of 49 and were even more impressive from close range with a two-point shooting percentage of 68.

The Quakers fought valiantly but were unable to match the intensity brought by their opponents. They managed to score 32 points in the first half and improved slightly with 36 points after halftime. However, their overall field goal percentage stood at only 41 percent and they struggled beyond the arc with just ten three-pointers made out of twenty-eight attempts for a three-point shooting percentage of only thirty-six.

Defensively, both teams showed prowess around the rim; however, it was Auburn's five blocks that contributed significantly to their defensive efforts compared to Penn's two blocks. The Tigers also outperformed in steals and assists categories with six steals and nineteen assists which demonstrated their ability to create opportunities on both ends of the court.

Auburn's players displayed strong teamwork throughout as evidenced by their higher assist-to-turnover ratio (3.17), compared to Penn's ratio (1). This statistic underscores how well-coordinated Auburn was during this matchup.

Rebounding was another area where Auburn excelled; they grabbed thirty-seven rebounds including ten offensive boards which led them to capitalize on second-chance opportunities resulting in ten second-chance points.

Looking ahead for Auburn fans eager to follow their team's progress: The next challenge for the Auburn Tigers will be against Arkansas Razorbacks at Bud Walton Arena located in Fayetteville on January sixth at one o'clock PM Central Time Zone. This encounter can be viewed nationally on ESPN2 channel two hundred nine ensuring that supporters won't miss any action as it unfolds live from Arkansas.
