In an intense matchup at Neville Arena, the Auburn Tigers showcased their defensive skills by blocking six shots and stealing the ball seven times from the Texas A&M Aggies. The home team's offense was equally impressive with an assist count that reached 18, reflecting their collaborative effort on court. The Tigers' shooting accuracy was notable as they made 52 percent of their two-point attempts and maintained an overall field goal percentage of 39.

The fast-paced action favored the Auburn side as they scored a significant 14 points from fast breaks. Their ability to capitalize on turnovers was evident; they scored 17 points off the Aggies' total turnovers which amounted to 19 for the visiting team. Despite fewer total rebounds than Texas A&M's tally of 44, with only seven offensive rebounds compared to Texas A&M's seventeen, Auburn managed to maintain control throughout most of the game.

Texas A&M struggled with field goals throughout the night, managing only a success rate of about one-third (29 percent) from all attempts and just three successful shots from beyond the arc out of nineteen attempts (16 percent). However, they were proficient from free throw line hitting an impressive rate rounding up to nearly full marks (84 percent).

Auburn's disciplined play resulted in zero team turnovers and kept personal fouls down to fifteen compared to twenty by Texas A&M. This discipline allowed them more opportunities at scoring while limiting those same chances for their opponents.
