Can Auburn Tigers Rebound After Narrow Defeat at Humphrey Coliseum?

The Auburn Tigers showed resilience in their performance, particularly in their shooting accuracy from the free-throw line where they achieved an impressive 88 percent conversion rate. Despite this, their overall field goal percentage stood at 34 percent and from beyond the arc they managed to hit only 25 percent of their attempts. The team's effort on defense was notable as well; they amassed a total of six blocks and eight steals over the course of play.


Auburn's offense distributed well with 12 assists but had some challenges maintaining possession, resulting in eleven turnovers. However, they capitalized on turnovers by scoring 16 points off them. In terms of rebounds, Auburn collected a total of thirty boards – twenty-seven personal rebounds complemented by three team rebounds – which included four offensive rebounds that led to three second-chance points.


On Mississippi State's side, their ability to score within the paint was significant; they tallied up thirty-four points in that area.
