First Half

The first half saw the Auburn Tigers taking an early lead, showcasing their prowess inside the paint with a total of 48 points. Keyshawn Hall made his presence felt with significant contributions on both ends of the court. The Plainsmen capitalized on fast break opportunities, scoring 12 points and maintaining a solid defensive stance with nine steals. Despite these efforts, they ended the half leading by only four points as Alabama kept pace with effective shooting.

Second Half

As play resumed, Alabama's offensive strategy shifted gears dramatically. The Roll Tide surged ahead thanks to their impressive three-point shooting accuracy of 52 percent and free throw efficiency at 87 percent. This shift was pivotal as they outscored Auburn by eight points in this period alone. Meanwhile, Tahaad Pettiford continued to drive Auburn’s offense but was met with stiff resistance from Alabama’s defense which recorded seven blocks throughout the game.

Final Minutes

In an intense closing stretch marked by multiple lead changes and ties, it was ultimately Alabama's ability to convert crucial possessions that sealed their win. Despite Auburn drawing more fouls and making strategic plays off turnovers for an additional 20 points, it wasn't enough to counteract Alabama’s late-game momentum.

Auburn Tigers coach post-game reaction highlighted areas for improvement while acknowledging his team's strong performance under pressure against formidable opponents like Alabama.

Looking ahead, fans can catch the next game featuring Auburn Tigers vs Vanderbilt Commodores scheduled for February 10th at Neville Arena in Auburn AL at 7:00 PM EST on SEC Network TV broadcast.
