From the opening tip-off, the Baylor Bears set an aggressive pace against their opponents. The first half saw them amass 35 points to UCSB's 36, but it was in the second half that they truly pulled away, adding another 39 points to their tally while holding UCSB to just 20 additional points. The Bears' offense was firing on all cylinders with an impressive field goal percentage of 55 percent compared to UCSB's respectable but lower rate of 47 percent.

The three-point line also favored the home team as they hit eight out of twenty-two attempts, giving them a solid three-point percentage of 36 percent. In contrast, UCSB managed only four successful shots from beyond the arc out of sixteen attempts for a three-point percentage of just 25 percent.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with one block each. However, Baylor had a slight edge in steals with five compared to UCSB's three and fewer personal fouls (13) than UCSB (15). This disciplined defense helped limit opportunities for UCSB and contributed significantly to Baylor's lead.

On individual performances for Baylor: players excelled both offensively and defensively contributing across various statistical categories including assists where they edged out UCSB with fourteen assists versus twelve by their opponents. Their ball handling was more secure as well; they turned over possession only nine times throughout the game while forcing fourteen turnovers from UC Santa Barbara which led directly to nineteen points off turnovers for Baylor.

Rebounding was another area where Baylor showed superiority by collecting twenty-nine rebounds — seven offensive and nineteen defensive — compared to twenty-three total rebounds by UC Santa Barbara. This advantage allowed them additional scoring opportunities which were crucial in extending their lead during key moments in the game.

As fans look ahead after this commanding performance by their team at Ball Arena, attention now turns towards future matchups. The next challenge for the Baylor Bears will be against Creighton Bluejays back at Ball Arena on March 19th at approximately six o'clock PM local time (Mountain Time Zone).
