From the onset, the Baylor Bears set a vigorous pace with an explosive first half scoring 58 points to Big Red's 42. The second half saw a more balanced effort but still favored the home team as they added another 40 points to their tally compared to Cornell's 37. This offensive surge was supported by remarkable shooting accuracy; Baylor shot an impressive 55 percent from the field and an exceptional 45 percent from beyond the arc.

The Bears' offensive prowess was matched by their defensive efforts as well. They outrebounded Cornell with a total of 35 rebounds compared to Big Red's 30 and blocked two shots over the course of play. Additionally, Baylor capitalized on turnovers scoring 14 points off Cornell’s mistakes.

A key factor in this matchup was Baylor’s ability to distribute the ball effectively; they tallied up a total of 21 assists which is indicative of their cohesive playmaking and teamwork throughout this encounter. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an outstanding figure of approximately three assists for every turnover.

Cornell did not go down without showing some resistance though; they managed to put up respectable numbers including shooting at a rate close to fifty percent from field goal range and securing six steals during playtime. However, it wasn't enough against Baylor’s relentless attack that included sinking fourteen three-pointers.

As for individual performances, several players stepped up for both teams but it was undoubtedly Baylor’s collective effort that shone through leading them towards this convincing victory over Cornell.

Looking ahead after this emphatic win at home, fans can catch The Baylor Bears next facing off against Oklahoma State Cowboys on January sixth at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater which will be broadcasted on ESPN+ starting two o'clock PM Central Time.
