Boise State Broncos Fall to Utah State Aggies at Thomas & Mack Center
In a closely contested Mountain West semifinal at the Thomas & Mack Center, the Boise State Broncos were outscored by the Utah State Aggies, ending with a final tally of 72-62. The Broncos' season record now stands at an unmentioned number of victories and defeats, while the Aggies have similarly undisclosed statistics. The first half saw Boise State ahead with 36 points but they could not maintain their lead, adding only 26 in the second half. Conversely, Utah State started with 28 points and surged in the second half to secure their win with an additional 44 points.
The Boise State Broncos displayed a commendable effort on their home turf. They managed to accumulate a total of 62 points throughout the game. Their offensive efforts were led by scoring 30 points in the paint and making four three-pointers out of fourteen attempts which translates to roughly twenty-nine percent from beyond the arc. Utah State Aggies showed resilience after trailing in the first half. As for turnovers, both teams managed them relatively well considering the high stakes involved; however, it was notable that despite committing fifteen turnovers each team had different outcomes regarding converting these into points off turnovers - thirteen for Boise versus ten for Utah.
