Boise State Broncos to Clash with UNLV Runnin' Rebels at ExtraMile Arena

The upcoming game, set against the backdrop of Boise's own fortress, is expected to showcase a high level of collegiate basketball.

The BSU team has been on an impressive trajectory lately. Their recent performance against Cal State Fullerton Titans on December 17th was nothing short of dominant. Scoring 88 points and shooting an exceptional 49 percent from the field, they displayed a balanced offensive attack complemented by staunch defense. Notably, their three-point shooting was on point at 44 percent, which could prove pivotal in their next matchup.

In contrast, UNLV has had its share of ups and downs this season but should not be underestimated. They bring a competitive spirit that could disrupt BSU's rhythm if taken lightly.

However, based on recent performances and statistics alone, it seems likely that BSU will carry the day when they face off against UNLV. The Broncos have shown they can maintain possession effectively with fewer turnovers than their opponents and capitalize on second-chance points – something that was evident in their game against Northwestern State Demons on December 13th where they scored an impressive 95 points with significant contributions from offensive rebounds leading to second-chance opportunities.

Defensively, BSU has been solid as well; their ability to limit opponents' scoring inside the paint while also controlling defensive rebounds will be critical in containing UNLV's offense. This defensive prowess coupled with efficient scoring gives them an edge going into this contest.

The Broncos have also demonstrated depth in their roster with multiple players contributing across the board – whether it’s through assists or steals – indicating a well-rounded team effort that should continue as they take on UNLV.

Given these factors and barring any unforeseen circumstances or standout performances from UNLV players that could tip the scales unexpectedly, it appears likely that Boise State will emerge victorious once more before its home crowd.

Fans eager to catch this exciting matchup can do so at ExtraMile Arena in Boise come January 16th at 8:00 PM local time (MT). For those unable to attend in person, CBS Sports Network will broadcast all live-action starting from channel number 221 nationally.
