The game was characterized by several lead changes and ties that kept fans on edge throughout. The Boise State Broncos showed resilience as they battled to maintain control of the game. Their offense was led by determined plays that resulted in 26 points from inside the paint and six successful three-point shots out of 21 attempts, translating to a three-point shooting percentage of 29 percent.

Defensively, both teams were neck and neck with each recording four steals. However, it was in rebounding where they matched each other stride for stride; both teams grabbed 35 rebounds over the course of play. The Broncos managed to block three shots but were slightly less disciplined than their opponents, committing 12 personal fouls compared to UNLV's 18.

The Runnin' Rebels capitalized on turnovers scoring 15 points off them and showcased efficiency from two-point range with a shooting percentage of 50 percent. They also edged out in fast break points with eleven compared to nine from Boise State.

Boise State's free throw performance stood out as they made twelve out of eighteen attempts which amounted to a free throw percentage of approximately 67 percent – better than UNLV's performance from the line.

As for individual performances, no single player dominated; instead it was a collective effort that saw contributions across the board. Both teams displayed similar assist-to-turnover ratios indicating tight ball-handling under pressure – Boise State had an assists turnover ratio around .89 while UNLV posted about .13 higher.

Despite having one more timeout remaining than UNLV who had none left by game end, Boise State couldn't convert this small advantage into victory as time ran out at ExtraMile Arena before an engaged crowd numbering just shy of ten thousand attendees.

Looking ahead after this tough loss, fans can mark their calendars for when Boise State will face off against San Diego State Aztecs at ExtraMile Arena located in Boise ID zip code:83725 on January 20th at precisely eleven o'clock AM Mountain Time Zone (MT). This upcoming contest will be broadcasted nationally on CBS where supporters can tune in to follow their team's progress live.
