Eagles' Efforts and Highlights

The Boston College Eagles showcased moments of brilliance and determination throughout the match. Chad Venning stood out for his team with 13 points, complemented by his defensive prowess that included 3 blocks and contributing to his team's total rebounds. Roger McFarlane also made significant contributions with 11 points, demonstrating efficiency from beyond the arc by hitting 75 percent of his three-point attempts.

Despite these individual performances, Boston College struggled in several key areas. Cardinal's Commanding Performance

On the other side of the court, Stanford Cardinal capitalized on their opportunities and demonstrated why they were formidable opponents on their home ground at Maples Pavilion. Their balanced attack was evident through an impressive field goal percentage of 48 percent and converting free throws at a remarkable rate of 93 percent.

Stanford also excelled defensively by recording more steals (9) than Boston College (4) and blocking more shots (5). This defensive solidity limited Boston College’s chances inside while propelling Stanford to capitalize on fast-break opportunities.
