At Gallagher-Iba Arena, home of the Cowboys, fans witnessed an intense battle where lead changes were non-existent but competitiveness was palpable. The BYU Cougars entered halftime with a total of 34 points but ramped up their offense in the second half to add another 49 points to their tally. Despite this surge, it wasn't enough to overcome the Cowboys' consistent scoring drive which had them leading with 49 points at halftime and closing out with an additional 44 in the latter half.

The Cougars showcased their accuracy from close range by converting on 64 percent of their two-point attempts and finishing strong in the paint with a total of 44 points scored inside. Their free throw accuracy was also notable as they made good on an impressive 87 percent from the line. However, they struggled beyond the arc, making only eight out of thirty-five three-point attempts for a modest three-point percentage of just around twenty-three percent.

On defense and on boards, BYU managed to block two shots and secure seven steals while grabbing thirty-six rebounds—fourteen offensive and seventeen defensive—demonstrating tenacity under both baskets. They also capitalized on turnovers by scoring fourteen points off those taken from Oklahoma State.

Conversely, Oklahoma State's performance was marked by remarkable shooting efficiency; they hit sixty percent from field goal range and fifty percent from three-point territory. Their fast-paced game yielded twelve fast break points and they were able to convert eleven out of nine turnovers into scores.

As for individual performances within BYU's ranks that stood out: assists were distributed evenly among players totaling thirteen assists which contributed significantly towards maintaining an assist-to-turnover ratio slightly above one point six-three (1.63). This statistic reflects both ball movement effectiveness as well as careful possession control despite committing eight turnovers throughout playtime.

Looking ahead for Brigham Young University fans: The next challenge will be hosted at Marriott Center against Baylor Bears scheduled for February twentieth at eight o'clock PM local time (Mountain Time Zone). This upcoming game promises another opportunity for redemption and can be watched nationally on ESPN channel two hundred six (206).
