Will the California Golden Bears Ride Their Momentum at Matthew Knight Arena?

As the California Golden Bears prepare to face off against the Oregon Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent success on the road. The Golden Bears have been showing a promising trend in their gameplay, which could be a deciding factor in this upcoming contest.

In their last game against the Buffaloes, the Golden Bears displayed an impressive comeback with a second-half surge that led them to an 82-78 victory. Despite trailing at halftime, they managed to turn things around with a remarkable 56 points in the second half. Their three-point shooting was particularly notable, hitting 47 percent from beyond the arc.

The previous away game saw another strong performance by California as they defeated UCLA's Bruins 66-57. The team's defensive efforts were commendable; they held their opponents to just 20 percent from three-point range and forced turnovers that led to 15 points off turnovers.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for California. In an earlier matchup against USC's Trojans at Galen Center, despite putting up a good fight and scoring consistently from both inside and outside (39 percent from three), they fell short with a final score of 74-82. Turnovers were an issue as well; they gave up possession 15 times which allowed USC to capitalize on those mistakes.

The key for California will be maintaining their sharpshooting while tightening up ball security. If they can replicate or improve upon their assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.2 from their last game and continue exploiting opportunities beyond the arc, there is potential for another win on enemy territory.

Fans should expect an exciting match-up where every possession will count and where California's recent uptick in form will be tested by Oregon Ducks' home advantage.

Be sure not to miss this thrilling encounter scheduled for January 14th at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, OR. Tip-off is set for January 13th at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PT), and you can catch all the action live on Pac-12 Network.
