In front of a near-capacity crowd at Haas Pavilion, the California Golden Bears showcased their resilience and teamwork to secure an overtime victory over the visiting Trojans. The home team's performance was marked by exceptional free-throw shooting, hitting 88 percent from the line, which proved crucial in clutch moments.

The Golden Bears dominated on rebounds with a total of 54 compared to the Trojans' 27. This significant advantage on the boards was highlighted by an impressive haul of 17 offensive rebounds which led to 13 second-chance points for California. Their defensive efforts were equally notable as they pulled down 33 defensive rebounds.

Offensively, both teams displayed similar field goal percentages; however, it was California's three-point shooting that made a difference. They converted 42 percent from beyond the arc with eleven successful three-pointers out of twenty-six attempts. This sharpshooting contributed significantly to their scoring runs and helped them maintain momentum throughout the game.

Despite committing more turnovers than their opponents (14 for California versus six for USC), the Golden Bears compensated with higher assist numbers, recording eighteen assists which reflected their effective ball distribution and team play.

The game saw several shifts in lead but ultimately it was California's offensive execution in overtime that sealed their win. Scoring sixteen points in overtime compared to ten by USC underscored their ability to perform under pressure.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate another exciting matchup as the California Golden Bears are set to host UCLA Bruins at Haas Pavilion on February 10th at 2:30 PM local time. This upcoming game will be broadcast nationally on FOX where supporters can tune in to follow all live action from Berkeley.
