The home team's performance was marked by a strong second half, where they outscored their opponents by nine points. This surge was critical to overcoming the four-point deficit faced after the first half ended with them trailing at 30-34. The Golden Bears showcased their offensive capabilities by converting half of their two-point attempts and finishing with a respectable field goal percentage of forty-one percent. Their precision from the free-throw line was particularly noteworthy as they made ninety-one percent of their shots.

Defensively, California also held its ground with three blocks and five steals contributing to ten turnovers for Oregon. Despite committing seventeen personal fouls, one resulting in a foul-out, they managed to maintain discipline and keep their focus on controlling the game's pace.

On offense, seven assists were distributed among players as they worked cohesively to find scoring opportunities inside the paint leading to thirty-two points. Additionally, second-chance points were crucial for California as they capitalized on thirteen such opportunities compared to Oregon's seven.

The Ducks put up a formidable fight despite falling short in several statistical categories. They shot only thirty-five percent from both field goals and three-point range but excelled at free throws making eighty-seven percent of them. Their efforts inside were rewarded with twenty-six points in paint but ultimately weren't enough against California's defense which limited them to just sixty-four total points.

Oregon did manage five blocks and three steals but struggled with ball control which is evident from their nine turnovers during playtime; this allowed California eight points off turnovers compared to thirteen for Oregon from similar situations.

Looking ahead, fans can catch the next game featuring California Golden Bears as guests against Colorado Buffaloes at CU Events Center located in Boulder on February 28th scheduled for an evening tip-off at 6:00 PM Mountain Time (MT). This encounter will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network for those who wish to follow along remotely.
