At Boulder's CU Events Center, fans witnessed a competitive match-up between the California Golden Bears and their hosts, the Colorado Buffaloes. Despite a spirited effort from CAL that saw them put up an impressive 47 points in the second half of play, they were unable to overcome Colorado's consistent performance across both halves.

The California team showcased some notable statistics during this intense conference game. They managed to block four shots and steal possession ten times from their opponents. Assists were shared among players as they racked up ten throughout the game. Their shooting accuracy from within the arc was commendable at fifty-three percent on two-point attempts; however, they struggled beyond it with only twenty-nine percent of three-point shots finding their mark.

CAL's free throw performance was strong as they made seventy-nine percent of their attempts from the line. They fought hard under both baskets securing thirty-one rebounds—twenty-one defensively and eight offensively—while also scoring thirty-two points in paint which demonstrated their ability to penetrate Colorado's defense effectively.

On offense, CAL capitalized on turnovers by scoring thirteen points off them but had twelve turnovers themselves which hindered some of their momentum during crucial phases of play. Their second-chance point tally stood at nineteen due to persistent efforts on offensive rebounds.

In contrast, despite putting up fewer shots overall than CAL with fifty-eight field goal attempts compared to sixty-nine for CAL—the Buffaloes maintained higher efficiency with fifty percent field goals made including forty-four percent from three-point range which proved decisive over time.

Colorado also outperformed when it came to fast break opportunities by scoring twenty-two fast break points and excelled in distributing ball effectively as evidenced by eighteen assists leading to an assist-turnover ratio of 1.8 compared to 0.83 for CAL.

Looking ahead after this tough encounter away from home soil for California Golden Bears fans can mark their calendars for another exciting match-up as CAL is scheduled next against Utah Utes at Jon M Huntsman Center located in Salt Lake City on March 2nd at 6:00 PM Pacific Time Zone (PT). This upcoming game will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network where supporters can follow all action live as it unfolds.
