In an intense matchup at Edmunds Center, the Charlotte 49ers showcased a robust offensive effort but fell short against the Stetson Hatters. The first half saw the 49ers take control, scoring 41 points to lead over the Hatters' 36. However, momentum shifted in the second half as Stetson outscored Charlotte by nine points to secure a four-point win.

The Charlotte offense was firing on all cylinders with an impressive field goal percentage of 48 and converting on two-point attempts at a rate of 56 percent. Dominating inside, they racked up a substantial 40 points in paint and capitalized on turnovers by adding another dozen to their tally.

Despite falling behind in fast break points with only five compared to Stetson's fifteen, Charlotte managed to keep pace through sheer determination and skillful playmaking that resulted in thirteen assists. Their free throw accuracy was notable as well; sinking shots from the line at an impressive rate of nearly four-fifths of their attempts.

On defense, however, there were challenges for Charlotte. They managed just one block throughout the game and collected seven steals which were overshadowed by Stetson's six steals and two blocks. Rebounding was fiercely contested; although both teams grabbed over thirty rebounds each (32 for Charlotte), it wasn't enough for them to maintain their lead.

One area where they excelled was capitalizing on second-chance opportunities – securing nineteen second-chance points thanks largely due to nine offensive rebounds – demonstrating tenacity when fighting for possession under their basket.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought contest, fans can catch the next game featuring The Charlotte 49ers as they visit Dallas to face off against SMU Mustangs at Moody Coliseum. Scheduled for January 2nd at 9:00 PM Eastern Time, supporters can tune into ESPN2 channel number two hundred nine for national coverage of what promises to be another exciting matchup.
