Charlotte 49ers Narrowly Miss Victory Against Ranked Memphis Tigers at Home

In a closely contested matchup, the Charlotte 49ers faced off against the 18th ranked Memphis Tigers, concluding with a final score of 68-77 in favor of the visiting team. Charlotte's Effort and Key Performances


The Charlotte 49ers displayed a commendable effort throughout the game, particularly in the second half where they outscored their opponents by seven points. Despite trailing at halftime with only 25 points to Memphis's commanding 41, they rallied back to add an impressive 43 points in the second half. The team showed resilience and determination but ultimately could not overcome the deficit.


Jaehshon Thomas led scoring for Charlotte with an impressive tally of 18 points, bolstered by his defensive prowess that included three steals. Giancarlo Rosado also made significant contributions with a well-rounded performance consisting of twelve points and seven rebounds alongside four assists. Kylan Blackmon matched Rosado’s scoring output with twelve points and added four rebounds to his stat line.


Memphis Tigers' Dominant Display


On the opposing side, The Memphis Tigers demonstrated why they are among the top-ranked teams this season. Their offense was efficient throughout, shooting at a rate of forty-nine percent from field goals and forty percent from beyond three-point range. Their defense was equally imposing; accumulating seven steals and two blocks which contributed to sixteen turnovers by Charlotte.


The most telling statistic was perhaps their ability to capitalize on turnovers; scoring nineteen points off turnovers compared to sixteen by Charlotte. Additionally, their bench played a crucial role in securing this victory by adding twenty-five bench points.
