In a display of dominance at Fifth Third Arena, the Cincinnati Bearcats outperformed the Evansville Purple Aces in a non-conference game that saw both teams fight for supremacy on the court. The home team's effort was evident as they racked up 76 points to their opponent's 58 by leveraging their sharp shooting skills, particularly beyond the arc where they hit an impressive 41 percent of their attempts.

The Bearcats showcased a well-rounded team performance with eight blocks and seven steals, reflecting their defensive tenacity. Their offensive play was facilitated by an outstanding number of assists totaling 22, which is indicative of strong teamwork and ball movement. Furthermore, Cincinnati capitalized on turnovers scoring 12 points off them and maintained control with only one team turnover throughout the game.

Cincinnati's rebounding was another area where they excelled; pulling down a total of 49 rebounds compared to Evansville's 29 highlighted their control over both ends of the floor. Of those rebounds for Cincinnati, an aggressive approach to offensive boards resulted in them grabbing twelve which translated into seventeen second-chance points.

The Purple Aces put up a valiant effort despite falling short on this occasion. They managed to block seven shots and steal from Cincinnati seven times as well but struggled with field goal percentage at just 41 percent overall and were less effective from three-point range hitting only three out of twelve attempts (25 percent). Their free throw performance also left room for improvement as they made just over half (54 percent) of those shots.

As fans look ahead after this convincing win by Cincinnati, attention turns to future matchups. The next challenge for the Bearcats will be against Brigham Young University Cougars at Marriott Center in Provo on January 6th at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
