The Cincinnati crowd of 8,622 witnessed a game that saw both teams exhibit strong offensive efforts. The Bearcats put up a valiant fight, scoring 32 points in the first half and adding another 36 in the second. However, it was not enough to overcome the Tigers' consistent scoring drive which tallied up to 42 points before halftime and an additional 33 after.

The Bearcats showcased their agility on fast breaks with a total of 12 fast break points but were slightly outpaced by the Tigers who managed eight. Despite two players fouling out, Cincinnati kept pushing forward with an assist-to-turnover ratio of approximately one (rounded), indicative of their collaborative playmaking efforts throughout the match.

On defense, Cincinnati managed five steals and blocked one shot attempt by Memphis. They also fought hard for rebounds but ultimately fell short with a total rebound count of thirty-one compared to thirty-four by Memphis.

Offensively, Cincinnati's shooting from beyond the arc was not as effective as they would have hoped; they made six three-pointers on twenty-four attempts resulting in a twenty-five percent success rate from long range. Inside paint though, both teams scored thirty points each demonstrating equal prowess under or near the basket.

Memphis displayed impressive accuracy from both field goal range and free throw line shooting forty-eight percent for field goals and an outstanding eighty-three percent from free throws which contributed significantly to their victory margin over Cincinnati who shot forty percent on field goals and sixty-seven percent on free throws.

Looking ahead for fans of The University of Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team is another challenging matchup against Houston Cougars at Fertitta Center located in Houston Texas scheduled for January twenty-eighth at seven fifteen PM Eastern Time Zone. This upcoming encounter will be broadcasted nationally on CBS where supporters can tune-in to follow their team's performance away from home.
