The home team, playing at Fifth Third Arena, showcased their offensive skills by shooting 47 percent from the field and an outstanding 51 percent on two-point attempts. The Bearcats' defense was equally impressive, registering five blocks and stealing the ball eleven times. Their defensive efforts were pivotal as they converted turnovers into 29 points.

Cincinnati's teamwork shone through with seventeen assists to only six turnovers, reflecting a remarkable assists-to-turnover ratio of nearly three. This efficiency was critical in maintaining their lead throughout the game. Despite being outrebounded by ten boards, with Kansas State pulling down thirty-seven rebounds to Cincinnati's twenty-seven, the Bearcats managed to score more points in paint (36) than their opponents (24).

The Wildcats put up a strong fight as well; they shot forty-two percent overall and an impressive eighty-four percent from the free-throw line. They also capitalized on second-chance opportunities by scoring sixteen points following offensive rebounds.

A key moment came late in the game when Cincinnati's defense held firm against a relentless Kansas State offense that had fought back valiantly after trailing at halftime. The final minutes saw both teams exchange leads four times before Cincinnati secured victory as time expired.

Fans of Cincinnati can look forward to their next game against Oklahoma Sooners scheduled for March 5th at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, OK. This away game will be broadcasted on ESPN+ starting at 7:00 PM local time for fans who want to follow all of the action live online.
