From tip-off to final buzzer, the Cincinnati squad showcased an exceptional performance. They ended the first half with a solid lead and amplified their efforts in the second half by adding 56 points to their tally. The offensive execution was near flawless; they shot an outstanding 59 percent from the field and an impressive 82 percent from within two-point range. Their three-point attempts were less fruitful but still contributed with a 30 percent success rate.

The Bearcats' defense was equally formidable; they amassed five blocks and ten steals throughout the contest. This defensive pressure translated into significant points off turnovers, as they capitalized on West Virginia's mistakes for 27 points. Additionally, Cincinnati's fast break opportunities yielded them another 17 points.

Cincinnati's teamwork shone brightly as well; they dished out a total of 23 assists which speaks volumes about their cohesive playmaking abilities – boasting an assists turnover ratio of 2.56. On top of that, they dominated inside scoring with a whopping 48 points in paint and grabbed more rebounds than their opponents by securing possession on both ends (37 personal rebounds).

On West Virginia's side, despite shooting better from beyond the arc at a rate of 42 percent compared to Cincinnati’s three-point percentage, it wasn't enough to counteract their overall field goal percentage which stood at just under forty percent (39). They also struggled from free-throw line making only six out of ten attempts.

The Mountaineers fought hard but were unable to keep pace with Cincinnati’s relentless energy and strategic execution throughout each quarter – ultimately being outscored significantly in both halves (29-36 in first half and even more so in second half). Their efforts were hampered further by committing sixteen turnovers against only nine by Cincinnati.

As fans celebrate this commanding performance by their beloved Bearcats who have shown once again why Fifth Third Arena is one tough venue for any visiting team - attention now turns towards future matchups where Cincinnati will aim to continue this strong form on court.
