Clemson Tigers Clawing for Victory Against Baylor Bears in Memphis Showdown

As the Clemson Tigers prepare to face off against the Baylor Bears, all eyes are on what promises to be a thrilling encounter at Memphis' FedExForum. The Tigers, coming off a decisive 77-56 victory over the New Mexico Lobos on March 22nd, have shown they can dominate both ends of the court when they hit their stride.

In that game, Clemson's offense was firing on all cylinders with an impressive 44 percent field goal percentage and a solid 33 percent from beyond the arc. Their defense wasn't far behind either, racking up seven steals and four blocks while limiting their opponents to just 30 percent shooting from the field. This kind of performance is exactly what will be needed if they hope to overcome Baylor.

However, it's not all smooth sailing for CLEM. A look back at their March 14th game against Boston College reveals some chinks in their armor. Despite putting up a valiant effort, CLEM fell short with a score of 55-76. Their shooting percentages were down across the board compared to their more recent outing – only hitting 35 percent from the field and an even more concerning 20 percent from three-point land.

The key for CLEM will be consistency – something they lacked during that ACC Second Round Game where lead changes were frequent and stability was scarce. They'll need to replicate more closely their performance against UNM where they boasted an assists turnover ratio of nearly double that against BC (1.78 compared to just under 1.25).

CLEM's ability to control rebounds will also play a critical role in this upcoming contest as it did during these past games; maintaining possession and capitalizing on second-chance points could very well tip the scales in their favor.

Baylor Bears won't make it easy though; any team facing them knows they're up against formidable opposition who can turn games around quickly if given even half a chance.

As we look ahead towards this matchup scheduled for March 24th at FedExForum in Memphis, TN fans should expect nothing less than full-throttle basketball action starting at precisely noon Central Time (CT).
