Buffaloes Head to Seattle for Showdown at Alaska Airlines Arena against Huskies

As the Colorado Buffaloes prepare to take on the Washington Huskies at the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, fans are eager for insights into how their team might fare in this upcoming contest. The Buffaloes have shown a mix of resilience and areas needing improvement in their recent games, which could be pivotal in determining the outcome against the Huskies.

In their last game on December 2nd, COLO narrowly lost to Arizona State Sun Devils with a final score of 59-60. Despite leading by 17 points at halftime, they struggled in the second half, scoring only 21 points compared to ASU's impressive 37-point effort. The Buffaloes' field goal percentage was just under 38 percent and they made only half of their free throws. Moreover, turnovers were a significant issue; with a total of 20 for that game alone.

However, it wasn't all doom and gloom for COLO. They dominated on rebounds with a total of 47 compared to ASU's 34 and showcased defensive prowess by blocking six shots. Their three-point shooting was also notable at nearly 39 percent accuracy.

Looking back further to November 27th against Yale Bulldogs, COLO secured a win with better offensive execution resulting in a scoreline of 65-62. They improved their two-point field goal percentage slightly over ASU's game (51 percent) and were more effective from the charity stripe hitting nearly 69 percent of free throws.

The upcoming matchup against WASH will test COLO's ability to maintain defensive intensity while improving ball security and shot selection under pressure. The Huskies will not make it easy; they are known for being competitive especially on home turf.

For fans looking forward to supporting COLO in person or from afar, mark your calendars for December 4th when these two teams face off at Seattle’s Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion promptly at an evening tip-off time scheduled for an equivalent local start time of around noon Pacific Time (3 PM Eastern Time). This much-anticipated game will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network – don’t miss what promises to be an enthralling encounter between these collegiate basketball rivals!
