Buffaloes and Golden Bears Set for Boulder Showdown at CU Events Center

As the Colorado Buffaloes prepare to host the California Golden Bears at the CU Events Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Buffaloes, coming off a nail-biting double-overtime victory against the USC Trojans on February 18th, where they scored an impressive 92 points, are looking to maintain their momentum.

In that game against USC, COLO showcased their resilience and offensive firepower. With a field goal percentage of 52 and three-point shooting at 45 percent, they demonstrated their ability to score from all over the court. Their performance in the paint was particularly dominant; scoring 40 points indicates that CAL will need to bolster their interior defense if they hope to contain COLO's big men.

The Buffaloes also displayed tenacity on the boards with a total of 48 rebounds in their last outing. This rebounding strength could be pivotal against CAL as it gives COLO multiple second-chance opportunities while limiting those of their opponents.

However, it wasn't just about offense; COLO's defense came up big when it mattered most. They managed five steals and two blocks in that game but will need to keep an eye on turnovers after giving up possession 21 times.

Looking back further into February reveals more about COLO's form. Despite suffering a loss against Arizona Wildcats on February 11th where they scored only 79 points compared to Arizona’s staggering 99 points, there were positive takeaways from that game too – like an impressive free throw percentage of 85 percent and fast break points tallying up to an energetic twenty.

On the other side of the court stands CAL who will enter Boulder knowing full well what awaits them – a team hungry for success in front of its home crowd. The Golden Bears must focus on disrupting COLO's rhythm if they wish to stand any chance come game day.

The upcoming clash is not just another conference game; it is an opportunity for both teams to make a statement as we approach March Madness. For Colorado Buffaloes fans eager for victory, this match-up presents another chance for their team’s stars to shine bright and perhaps even outshine those memorable performances earlier this month.

Mark your calendars: The face-off between Colorado Buffaloes and California Golden Bears is scheduled for February 28th at precisely six o'clock in the evening Mountain Time (MT) at CU Events Center in Boulder, Colorado. Fans can catch all action live on Pac-12 Network – don't miss what promises be one more exhilarating chapter in this season's story!
