Can the Buffaloes Outshine the Golden Bears at CU Events Center?

As the Colorado Buffaloes prepare to host the California Golden Bears, fans are eager to see if their team can continue its recent performance trends. The upcoming clash scheduled at CU Events Center promises to be an exciting one, with both teams looking to assert their dominance.

The Buffaloes have shown a resilient and high-scoring offense in their past games. In a thrilling double-overtime victory against the Trojans, they scored 92 points, showcasing a strong shooting performance with field goal and three-point percentages of 52 and 45 respectively. Their ability to score in clutch moments was evident as they secured 17 second-chance points and capitalized on turnovers with 14 points.

However, consistency has been an issue for Colorado. In a tight game against UCLA Bruins, they managed only 60 points but maintained impressive shooting accuracy from inside the arc at 58 percent. Despite this efficiency, turnovers were problematic as they recorded 14 while only forcing four steals.

In their encounter with Arizona Wildcats – ranked eighth nationally – Colorado's defense struggled as they allowed nearly a hundred points. Yet again, offensive rebounds were key for them; securing six gave them valuable second-chance opportunities which translated into 15 additional points.

Playing at home could give Colorado an edge over California; home-court advantage often plays a significant role in college basketball outcomes due to familiar settings and supportive crowds.

Fans should look out for how well Colorado can control turnovers while maintaining their scoring efficiency from both two-point range and beyond the arc. Defensive efforts will also be crucial in limiting California's opportunities for easy baskets.

The game is set for February 29th at CU Events Center in Boulder, CO. Fans can catch all the action live on Pac-12 Network starting at local venue time of US/Mountain Time Zone (1:00 AM GMT).
