Key Highlights from Colorado's Victory

The Colorado Buffaloes demonstrated exceptional teamwork and strategy throughout the game. With an impressive total of 17 assists, they were able to find and exploit openings in the TCU defense. Julian Hammond led the charge for Colorado with an outstanding performance of 19 points, seven assists, and a shooting accuracy of 56 percent from the field. His leadership on court was pivotal for setting up plays and scoring opportunities.

Trevor Baskin also made significant contributions with eight points and an incredible 16 rebounds, three blocks, adding to his team's defensive strength. Baskin's ability to control both ends of the court played a crucial role in maintaining Colorado's lead throughout the game.

On offense, Colorado excelled inside paint scoring 34 points compared to TCU’s 24 points in this area. Their efficient shooting was evident as they finished with a field goal percentage of 46 percent against TCU’s lower rate of just 32 percent.

TCU Struggles Against Dominant Buffaloes

The TCU Horned Frogs struggled to find their rhythm against a well-organized Buffalo defense that limited them to just four three-pointers on eighteen attempts (22 percent). Despite managing ten steals which is indicative of their defensive efforts, they couldn't capitalize on these opportunities as effectively as needed.

Their bench contributed significantly with 32 points but it wasn’t enough to challenge Colorado’s lead which extended up to twenty-one at its peak. The Horned Frogs’ efficiency rating stood at thirty-three compared to seventy-six by Buffalo indicating disparities in overall performance between both teams during this matchup.
