Colorado State Rams Set to Host New Mexico Lobos at Moby Arena in Men's Basketball Showdown

As the Colorado State Rams gear up to face the New Mexico Lobos at Moby Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game of men's basketball. The Rams, coming off a dominant performance against CSU-Pueblo on December 17th, where they cruised to an 86-54 victory, are looking sharper than ever.

New Mexico Lobos VS Colorado State Rams

The Rams' offense was a thing of beauty in their last outing. With a field goal percentage of 51 and converting 38 percent from beyond the arc, they showcased their ability to score both inside and out. Their defense was just as impressive, racking up 15 steals and blocking five shots. This kind of two-way play is exactly what will be needed when they go head-to-head with UNM.

The New Mexico Lobos should not be underestimated though. They bring their own set of skills to Fort Collins that could pose challenges for CSU. However, if past performances are any indication, the Rams have shown that they can handle pressure and come out on top.

One aspect where CSU particularly excels is in their ball distribution and care. With an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.6 against CSU-Pueblo – significantly higher than UNM's recent ratios – it’s clear that the team knows how to keep possession and create scoring opportunities without giving away easy points.

Rebounding has also been a strong suit for the Rams; pulling down 40 rebounds in their last game shows they have control over both ends of the court which will be crucial in maintaining possession and limiting second-chance points for UNM.

While some may point out that CSU had a less stellar performance against Saint Mary's on December 9th with lower shooting percentages across the board compared to other games this season, it’s important not to overlook how even during off nights this team finds ways to stay competitive – something that speaks volumes about their resilience and adaptability under pressure.

Looking ahead at this matchup with UNM, expect Colorado State University’s men's basketball team led by Coach Niko Medved - who has instilled a culture of hard work and determination -to capitalize on home-court advantage at Moby Arena where they've historically performed well thanks largely due part passionate fan support which often acts as sixth man providing extra energy boost players need during critical moments throughout game time action!

Mark your calendars for January 3rd at 8:30 PM local time when these two teams clash on court; fans can catch all action live Fox Sports channel number (219). Don't miss chance witness another thrilling chapter unfold storied rivalry!
