Clash at Moby Arena: Colorado State Rams to Host UNLV Runnin' Rebels

As the Colorado State Rams gear up to host the UNLV Runnin' Rebels at Moby Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a riveting matchup. The Rams have been on a rollercoaster this season, but their recent performance suggests they're finding their rhythm at just the right time.

Looking back at their December 23rd game against Loyola Marymount Lions, CSU showcased an impressive offensive display, securing a 76-67 victory. Their shooting was particularly noteworthy, with field goal percentages of 57 and free throw percentages of 77. This level of accuracy from the field and charity stripe could spell trouble for UNLV if CSU can maintain such efficiency.

Moreover, in that game against LMU, the Rams demonstrated they could spread the ball effectively with 21 assists and keep turnovers low. Their ability to control the ball will be crucial against a UNLV team that will look to capitalize on any mistakes.

The defensive prowess of CSU cannot go unmentioned either. In their December 17th home victory over CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves, where they triumphed with an emphatic scoreline of 86-54, it was their defensive tenacity that stood out. With five blocks and fifteen steals leading to thirty-one points off turnovers, it's clear that when CSU turns up the heat defensively; they can dominate games.

However, despite these strong performances by CSU in past games – including overcoming Saint Mary's Gaels despite being outscored in points from paint – there are areas where improvement is needed if they want consistent success moving forward.

UNLV will not make things easy for them; as an opponent known for its resilience and competitive spirit. The Runnin' Rebels have had moments this season where they've shown they can hang with anyone on their day.

Fans should expect nothing less than full-throttle basketball come game night as both teams vie for supremacy on court. With home advantage and recent form suggesting an edge for Colorado State Rams – not forgetting Moby Arena's reputation as one tough venue for visiting teams – all signs point towards another win for CSU if they stick to their strengths while shoring up any weaknesses exposed in previous outings.

Mark your calendars: January 19th at 8:30 PM local time is when all action unfolds at Moby Arena in Fort Collins. For those unable to attend live events due to capacity or distance constraints - fear not! You can catch every dribble live on Fox Sports channel number two hundred nineteen.
