Looking back at the game on December 23rd against Loyola Marymount Lions, CSU displayed a dominant second half by putting up 41 points compared to their first half's 35. Their impressive field goal percentage of 57 percent and free throw accuracy of 77 percent were pivotal in securing that victory. With a two-point shooting percentage of 69 and points in the paint tallying up to 36, it was clear that CSU's offensive strategy was working effectively.

The defensive prowess of CSU cannot be overlooked either. In their game against CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves on December 17th, they amassed an astounding number of steals (15) and blocks (5), showcasing their ability to disrupt plays and transition quickly into offense which resulted in scoring an impressive 20 fast break points.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for the Rams; they faced a tough challenge from Saint Mary's Gaels on December 9th. Despite falling short by three points, there were positive takeaways from that game as well – such as maintaining an assists turnover ratio above one and converting free throws at an exceptional rate of 87 percent.

The upcoming clash with UNM is expected to test CSU’s resilience once more. The Lobos will have home-court advantage but based on recent performances; it seems likely that the Rams' offensive efficiency and defensive tenacity could carry them through this challenge as well.
