In front of 7,070 fans at Moby Arena, the home team displayed resilience after trailing in the first half with only 28 points to Nevada's 39. The second half saw a dramatic improvement as they racked up an additional 46 points. Despite this effort and shooting at an impressive 48 percent from the field and converting free throws at an 82 percent clip, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

The Rams' offensive efforts were bolstered by sinking six three-pointers and achieving a higher two-point percentage than their opponents at 56 percent. Their playmaking shone through with double the number of assists compared to turnovers, resulting in an assist-turnover ratio of 2.5. They also managed to block four shots and made seven fast break points.

Defensively, however, they grabbed five fewer rebounds than Nevada's total of thirty-four and committed one more personal foul for a total of twenty-three fouls during the game. The Wolf Pack capitalized on these opportunities by making ten three-pointers at a high accuracy rate of forty-eight percent from beyond the arc.

Nevada's ability to score off turnovers was notable; they scored seventeen points following Ram mistakes. Additionally, their bench contributed significantly with fifteen second-chance points which proved crucial in maintaining their lead throughout most of the game.

Despite falling short this time around, Colorado State showed significant potential for growth as they outscored Nevada in paint scoring twenty-six to fourteen and demonstrated strong free throw capabilities under pressure.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought match-up against Nevada's unranked team, Colorado State will host another conference game against Wyoming Cowboys on March 2nd at Moby Arena located in Fort Collins.
