Colorado State Rams Set to Clash with New Mexico Lobos in High-Stakes Showdown

As the Colorado State Rams gear up for their next challenge against the New Mexico Lobos, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The upcoming game at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas promises to be a spectacle of skill and strategy, as both teams vie for victory on March 15th.

The Rams come off an impressive performance against the Nevada Wolf Pack, where they secured an 85-78 win. Their offense was a force to be reckoned with, shooting at 50 percent from the field and converting 73 percent of their free throws. The team's ability to score from various positions was evident as they racked up 36 points in the paint and added another 23 points off turnovers. This multifaceted attack will be crucial when facing UNM.

CSU's defense also played a pivotal role in their last outing, with seven steals and three blocks contributing to their dominance over Nevada. They'll need that same defensive tenacity against a Lobos team that is known for its resilience at home.

In contrast, UNM will enter this game looking to capitalize on any opportunity given by CSU. The Lobos have shown they can maintain pressure throughout both halves of play and will undoubtedly aim to exploit any weaknesses in CSU's armor.

However, it’s worth noting that during CSU’s recent match-up against San Jose State Spartans on March 13th, they showcased an exceptional assists-turnover ratio of 3.14 while maintaining strong two-point shooting accuracy at 65 percent. If they carry this level of precision into their next game, it could spell trouble for UNM.

The key battle might just be decided under the basket; rebounds could turn the tide either way. In their last encounter with Air Force Falcons on March 9th, CSU managed only three offensive rebounds – an area where improvement is needed if they wish to control the pace against UNM.

With all eyes set on Las Vegas' Thomas & Mack Center come tip-off time at 10:00 PM MDT on March 15th, fans can catch all live action broadcasted by CBS Sports Network. It's here where we'll witness whether Colorado State can continue its march or if New Mexico will stand tall defending home court advantage.
