First Half

The first half saw an impressive start from the Green and Gold. With Kyle Jorgensen leading the charge by scoring efficiently and contributing defensively with three steals, Colorado State built a commanding lead of up to 13 points. The team's field goal percentage was noteworthy at 51 percent, with their three-point shooting hitting an impressive 48 percent mark. Rashaan Mbemba also played a crucial role by adding defensive rebounds and assists that helped maintain their momentum.

Second Half

However, as play resumed after halftime, Utah State found their rhythm. The Aggies capitalized on turnovers committed by Colorado State—21 in total—and turned them into crucial points off turnovers. Their fast break points surged to 17 as they outscored the Rams significantly in this period. Despite Augustinas Kiudulas's efforts on defense and Josh Pascarelli's contributions from beyond the arc, Colorado State struggled to contain Utah's aggressive offense.

Final Moments

In what became one of those game-changing plays between Colorado State Rams vs Utah State Aggies, a late surge led by Utah’s bench players proved decisive. The Aggies' bench contributed significantly with 25 points overall compared to just six from CSU’s reserves. As time wound down without any remaining timeouts for CSU to strategize further plays effectively, it was clear that control had slipped away despite earlier dominance.

For fans looking forward: next up is another test when they travel westward towards San Diego where they'll face San Diego Aztecs inside Viejas Arena come January 28th at precisely scheduled time - tune into Fox Sports One if you can't make it there live!
