From the onset, Duke established control with an impressive first-half performance that ended with them leading by ten points. They carried this momentum into the second half, where they outscored La Salle by nineteen points to seal their win. The Blue Devils' offensive efficiency was evident as they shot an impressive 54 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 60 percent from two-point range. Their prowess from beyond the arc was also notable as they hit nine three-pointers at a 41 percent clip.

The Explorers struggled to keep pace with Duke's scoring barrage despite shooting a respectable 52 percent on two-point attempts and making six three-pointers themselves. However, their overall field goal percentage stood at just over 41 percent, which wasn't enough to challenge Duke's high-powered offense.

Duke's defense also played a pivotal role in their victory; they tallied three blocks and four steals while limiting La Salle to only one block and three steals. Additionally, Duke outrebounded La Salle by fifteen rebounds which included nine offensive boards that led to fourteen second-chance points.

Player performances were key for Duke with contributions across the board; twenty-one assists reflected their unselfish playstyle and excellent ball movement. In contrast, La Salle managed eleven assists but turned over the ball nine times which led to twelve points for Duke off those turnovers.

The Explorers did manage some success inside by scoring thirty points in paint but were ultimately overshadowed by Duke's fifty paint points – showcasing their ability to score close-range baskets effectively.

As fans of the Blue Devils celebrate this win, attention now turns towards their next challenge. The upcoming game is set against Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles at Cameron Indoor Stadium on November 24th at 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
