In a closely contested game at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, the Duke Blue Devils managed to secure a win against the Oregon State Beavers. The first half saw the Blue Devils put up 29 points against the Beavers' 27. In what was an intense second half, both teams fought hard but it was Duke who added another 25 points to their tally while limiting Oregon State to just 24 additional points.

The game statistics reflect a tough defensive battle with both teams showing resilience on court. The Duke team's field goal percentage stood at an unyielding 27 percent with only 16 field goals made out of their total attempts of sixty shots. From beyond the arc, they managed to convert five out of twenty-nine three-point attempts which is roughly seventeen percent shooting accuracy from that range.

Free throws were one area where Duke excelled; they achieved an impressive eighty-one percent success rate by sinking seventeen out of twenty-one attempts from the charity stripe. This precision from free throw line played a crucial role in their narrow victory over Oregon State.

Rebounding was another strong suit for Duke as they dominated with forty-six rebounds compared to just twenty-eight by Oregon State. Of these rebounds for Duke, eighteen were offensive giving them numerous second-chance opportunities which translated into eighteen second-chance points.

On defense, steals and blocks were pivotal in keeping pressure on Oregon State; five steals and two blocks helped disrupt their offense throughout the game. Despite committing seventeen personal fouls and turning over possession eight times themselves, it was enough for them to maintain control and eventually come out on top.

Oregon State gave it their all but fell short despite having better shooting efficiency inside with fifty percent two-point shooting accuracy and thirty-nine percent overall field goal percentage. They also made six three-pointers at twenty-nine percent accuracy but struggled more than Duke from free throw line making eleven out of fourteen which is seventy-nine percent success rate.

Looking ahead for fans of the Blue Devils: Their next challenge will be away against Xavier Musketeers at Moda Center in Portland on November 25th at approximately eight-thirty PM Eastern Time (5:30 PM Pacific Time). This upcoming matchup can be viewed nationally on ESPN channel two hundred six.
