The Duke Blue Devils started strong in the first half with 35 points and continued to extend their lead by adding an overwhelming 51 points in the second half. Their offensive execution was sharp as they shot an impressive 52 percent from the field and an outstanding 89 percent from the free-throw line. The three-point shooting was also notable with a solid 47 percent success rate.

Defensively, Duke proved to be formidable as well, recording five blocks and eleven steals throughout the game. This defensive pressure contributed to turning over Syracuse seventeen times and capitalizing on these opportunities by scoring a significant 26 points off turnovers. The Blue Devils' fast-paced style was evident as they racked up twenty-one fast break points.

Duke's teamwork shined through their nineteen assists which were instrumental in orchestrating their offense efficiently – reflected by an assists turnover ratio of 1.9. They also dominated inside with forty-six points in paint compared to thirty-two by Syracuse.

On the other hand, Syracuse Orange fought valiantly but struggled to keep pace with Duke's intensity. They managed to shoot only forty-four percent from field goals and twenty-five percent from beyond the arc while making eighty-two percent of free throws attempted. Despite grabbing one more rebound than Duke at thirty-one total rebounds, it wasn't enough to sway momentum in their favor.

The Orange did have some moments of brilliance; they matched up closely during parts of the game which saw four times tied and four lead changes before Duke ultimately pulled away decisively.

Looking ahead for fans of Duke Blue Devils is another exciting matchup against Notre Dame Fighting Irish scheduled for January 6th at Purcell Pavilion located in South Bend, Indiana. This upcoming contest will be broadcast nationally on ACC Network channel six hundred twelve at nine o'clock Eastern Time for those eager to follow along as this season continues unfolding.
