Duke Blue Devils Set to Clash with Vermont Catamounts at Barclays Center

As the Duke Blue Devils prepare to face off against the Vermont Catamounts at the Barclays Center, fans are looking forward to what promises to be an electrifying encounter. The Blue Devils, coming off a mixed bag of recent performances, have shown both resilience and areas for improvement that could play a pivotal role in their upcoming game.

Troy Trojans VS Duke Blue Devils

In their last outing on March 14th against North Carolina State's Wolfpack during the ACC Quarterfinal 3, DUKE fell short by five points in a closely contested game that ended 74-69 in favor of NCST. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways for Duke; they outperformed NCST in points in the paint with 44 compared to NCST's 34 and had a slightly better two-point percentage at 51 percent. However, their three-point shooting was lackluster at only 25 percent.

Earlier on March 9th, DUKE hosted North Carolina's Tar Heels and put up an impressive fight but ultimately lost by five points again with a final score of 84-79. The Blue Devils showcased their ability to rally from behind as they improved their second-half performance significantly scoring 48 points compared to just 31 in the first half. Their free throw accuracy was commendable at 75 percent which could be crucial against UVM.

The most telling performance came from Duke's away game on March 5th against NCST where they emerged victorious with a score of 79-64. Their dominance was evident as they led turnovers converted into points (21), second-chance points (23), and maintained an impressive assists turnover ratio of three.

The upcoming match-up will test DUKE’s ability to capitalize on these strengths while addressing weaknesses such as three-point shooting efficiency and personal fouls which have been areas of concern.

UVM should not be underestimated though; any team facing them must respect their competitive spirit and tactical approach. For Duke fans, it is essential that DUKE maintains defensive solidity while exploiting any offensive opportunities through fast breaks and inside scoring where they've shown proficiency.

Looking ahead, it is clear that if Duke can harness its potential seen during moments throughout these past games – particularly improving perimeter shooting – there is every chance for success when they step onto the court at Barclays Center.

Fans eager to support or witness how this unfolds can catch all the action scheduled for March 22nd at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center starting sharp at1:00 PM ET.
