Game Highlights


The Blue Devils started strong and never looked back, leading by as many as 27 points during the game. Their offensive strategy paid off with a remarkable 52 percent field goal shooting and an impressive 39 percent from beyond the arc. Duke's defense was equally formidable; they blocked five shots and made four steals, contributing to their overall efficiency rating of 95.


Kon Knueppel and Isaiah Evans were standout performers for Duke. Knueppel racked up 17 points along with seven rebounds and one steal, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor. Evans matched Knueppel's point tally while adding three rebounds to his stat line; his shooting was particularly notable with an astounding 86 percent from the field including making five out of six three-point attempts.


Virginia's Efforts


The Virginia Cavaliers had moments of brilliance but struggled to keep pace with Duke's scoring onslaught. They managed to shoot 38 percent from the field and had a free throw percentage equal to Duke’s at 82 percent. Despite being outrebounded by a significant margin (41-21), they fought hard to minimize turnovers and maximize opportunities created from fast breaks.
