Charleston Southern Buccaneers VS East Carolina Pirates

The East Carolina Pirates showcased their defensive skills by blocking seven shots and stealing the ball nine times from their opponents. Their offensive play was equally impressive with an assist count that reached 18 for the game, reflecting excellent teamwork and ball movement. The team's shooting accuracy was on point with a field goal percentage of 46 percent and an even more remarkable free throw completion rate of 92 percent.

The Pirates were also efficient from beyond the arc, converting seven out of their 19 three-point attempts which translates to a commendable three-point shooting percentage of 37 percent. This outside shooting capability proved crucial in stretching the defense and creating scoring opportunities inside. Speaking of inside play, both teams scored an equal amount of points in paint totaling to 24 each.

On rebounding duties, East Carolina edged out Wichita State with a total rebound count of 33 compared to Wichita State's total rebounds which stood at just under that number. This margin underscored East Carolina's control over both ends of the court throughout regulation time.

Wichita State Shockers did put up resistance despite trailing behind in several statistical categories; they managed eight steals and ten assists but struggled with turnovers committing fourteen against East Carolina’s eleven. Their field goal percentage was lower than desired at only 38 percent overall despite achieving parity on two-point attempts where they matched East Carolina’s success rate at exactly half made.

A key aspect where Wichita State excelled was free throw accuracy; they capitalized on these opportunities by making eleven out twelve free throws resulting in an impressive completion rate rounding up to nearly perfect numbers but ultimately insufficient against ECU’s performance across other facets.

Looking ahead for fans eager to follow their beloved team's progress: The next challenge for the East Carolina Pirates will be facing off against Tulane Green Wave back here at Minges Coliseum located in Greenville, North Carolina on February 18th scheduled for a tip-off time around mid-afternoon hours (2 PM Eastern Time). This upcoming match can be caught live via ESPN+ streaming services as part of your sports viewing itinerary.
