Clash at FAU Arena: Florida Atlantic Owls Host Florida International Panthers in Men's Basketball Showdown

As the Florida Atlantic Owls prepare to host the Florida International Panthers at FAU Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game of basketball. The upcoming matchup scheduled for December 17 is set to be a testament to the Owls' recent performances, which have been nothing short of spectacular.

Florida International Panthers VS Florida Atlantic Owls

Looking back at their previous games, it's clear that the Owls have been on a tear. On December 15 against St. Thomas (FL) Bobcats, they dominated with a staggering 97 points game, showcasing their offensive prowess by shooting an impressive 55 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 67 percent from two-point range. Their defense was equally formidable, forcing 14 turnovers and converting them into 15 points.

The dominance continued against the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles on December 8 when they put up another strong performance with an 85-point finish and a commanding shooting percentage of over 53 percent from the field. Their three-point game was particularly noteworthy as they hit nearly half of their attempts beyond the arc.

Against Eastern Michigan Eagles on December 4, FAU notched up over a hundred points in a single game – scoring exactly 101 – while maintaining high efficiency across all fronts: A solid shooting percentage of over half from both two and three-point ranges and controlling rebounds with a total count of forty-four.

The Panthers should not be underestimated though; they bring their own set of skills to Boca Raton. However, given FAU's recent form and home-court advantage at FAU Arena where fans create an intimidating atmosphere for any visiting team, it would take something extraordinary for FIU to upset this high-flying Owls squad.

FAU has shown time and again that they can maintain composure under pressure while executing plays both offensively and defensively. With such depth in scoring options and relentless defense leading to fast-break opportunities – which were notably effective against St. Thomas (FL) Bobcats – it seems likely that this trend will continue against FIU.

Fans eagerly awaiting this encounter should mark their calendars for December 17th when these two teams face off at FAU Arena in Boca Raton at precisely seven o'clock in the evening Eastern Time. The game will also be available on CUSA TV via internet broadcast networks for those who cannot attend in person but still wish to catch all the action live as it unfolds.
