In a game that saw six ties and two lead changes, the Florida Atlantic Owls demonstrated resilience and competitive spirit at Dale F. Halton Arena. Despite trailing with only 26 points to Charlotte's 41 in the first half, the Owls mounted a remarkable comeback in the second half scoring an impressive 42 points but ultimately fell two points shy of their opponents' total score.

However, they managed to secure six steals and thirty rebounds (eighteen defensive and seven offensive), showcasing their ability to contest possessions effectively.

On individual performances for FAU: players showed discipline by limiting themselves to nine player turnovers while contributing five assists – although this resulted in an assists turnover ratio below one (0.56).
