Can the Florida Atlantic Owls Blaze Past UAB at Bartow Arena?

As the Florida Atlantic Owls prepare to take on the UAB Blazers at Bartow Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Owls have been soaring high this season, and their upcoming clash is shaping up to be a spectacle of skill and strategy.

The Owls' recent performance has been nothing short of remarkable. On December 23, they faced off against the Arizona Wildcats in a nail-biting encounter that stretched into double overtime. The Owls emerged victorious with a score of 96-95, showcasing their resilience and ability to maintain composure under pressure. Their offensive prowess was evident as they shot 50 percent from the field and an impressive 80 percent from the free-throw line. They also dominated in points in the paint with 40 points, underscoring their effective inside game.

Another notable victory for FAU came on December 14 against Florida International Panthers where they secured a comfortable win with a score of 94-60 at home. Their shooting was exceptional; they hit an astounding 64 percent from the field and were equally lethal from beyond the arc, sinking half of their three-point attempts. This level of accuracy will undoubtedly be crucial against UAB.

However, it's not just about scoring; defense plays an equally important role in basketball success. In their game on December 16 against St. Bonaventure Bonnies, FAU demonstrated defensive tenacity by forcing turnovers that led to scoring opportunities – capitalizing with 24 points off turnovers.

The Blazers should not be underestimated though; playing at home provides them an edge that could fuel their performance. But if FAU maintains its current form – combining sharpshooting accuracy with aggressive defense – it's hard to see anything other than another win for them.

Looking ahead to February 9th's showdown at Bartow Arena in Birmingham, Alabama scheduled for tip-off at 9:00 PM EST (8:00 PM local time), fans can expect an intense battle between these two teams vying for supremacy on court.
